From Travemünde, what is probably the most beautiful route travels north, first up to Brodtener Steilufer and the Hermannshöhe and then on to Timmendorfer Strand and Scharbeutz. Simply steer north-north west – and look forward to nature’s best, Holstein's romantic, hilly landscape begins on the left of your handle bars, whilst the right-hand side affords you a breathtaking panoramic view across the beach and the Baltic to the horizon. Cycling and walking doesn't get any more beautiful than this.

If you prefer to travel south or west, breathtaking routes also await you here. The COLUMBIA reception team will be happy to advise you and lend you a bicycle or Nordic walking sticks in different sizes on request.
