Celebrated chef de cuisine Ioannis Giakoumidis from the renowned Bacchus restaurant at the COLUMBIA Beach Resort in Cyprus was invited to demonstrate his considerable culinary skills at the Kulm Hotel in St. Moritz from the 24th- 27th February 2010.
Accompanied by Polis Papageorgiou, the duo spent four days as guests of the Swiss hotel’s gourmet K Restaurant which has been awarded 15 points by the coveted GaultMillau guide.
Ioannis has made a significant contribution to the success of the cuisine at the Resort, now widely recognised as one of the very best in Cyprus. With the support of Polis, the menus at this, the COLUMBIA Beach Resort’s gourmet restaurant, demonstrate highly skilled and original cooking favouring the plethora of fresh ingredients from Cyprus and the best from abroad. This culinary talent is emphasised by the wonderful views and ambience in Pissouri Bay.
As guests of the K restaurant at the height of the ski season, Ioannis and Polis were able to celebrate their avant-garde style of cooking which shows influences from their native Cyprus.
