Seamen navigate to their destinations by using the stars - gourmets do the same: as the renowned Michelin Star will direct them to outstanding and reliable quality. This route passes through the North Sea coast of Lower Saxony directly to Wilhelmshaven, where our gourmet restaurant Marco Polo will pamper you with culinary highlights! Since chef de cuisine André Stolle, who has left the Marco Polo at the end of February, and his “brigade“ have been awarded a Michelin star, the Marco Polo is one of the 10 best restaurants of Lower Saxony.

Open-minded, like most coastal inhabitants, the Marco Polo implements his innovative kitchen philosophy “pure north“ as a new and independent cuisine, far from culinary prejudices.

Using exclusively top quality products, with the emphasis on local and regional ingredients, the Team of the Marco Polo additionally combines international specialities, to give new impetus to the gourmet cuisine:

Whether “Kiel sprats“ gently enhance the flavour of a turbot, or the saddle of a reindeer is refined with liquorice – the Marco Polo pioneering concept along with an outstanding skill has placed Wilhelmshaven on the culinary map.
