COLUMBIA Beach Resort Cyprus announces new seven night golf package including two rounds at new Elea Golf Club

The five star COLUMBIA Beach Resort, located in a discreet location in Pissouri Bay on Cyprus’s south west coast, is launching a new golf package this March. Guests can now enjoy rounds of golf at the newly launched Nick Faldo designed Elea course in Cyprus and at the championship level Aphrodite Hills Golf along with accommodation and transport. 

 

The combination of Cyprus’s mild climate, luxurious accommodation, and top golf alongside the Resort’s award-winning Columbia Spa for easing tired muscles is a winning one.  Add the Resort’s renowned cuisine for pleasure and sustenance this is a week’s holiday all golfers would aspire to.

 

The seven night package includes luxuries appropriate to one of the best hotels on the island; accommodation in a Junior Suite on bed and breakfast basis and private transfers to and from the airport in Cyprus. The COLUMBIA Beach Resort will also provide private transfers for the three rounds of golf at the Aphrodite Hills course that are included in the package.  And a rented car for two days is provided to get to the Elea course for the two rounds of golf there.

The package price is € 2,331/£ 1,990 for two persons sharing accommodation (or £ 995 per head) or

€ 1,947/£ 1,660 for one person. Note that prices do not include flights.

Elea Golf Club was opened last October by Sir Nick Faldo and the course has received rave reviews, including a 'Top 10 new international golf courses of 2010' ranking from American title Golf Magazine, and being recognised as 'one of the world's most exciting new courses’ by UK title Golf World. 

 

Located approximately 20 minutes drive from the COLUMBIA Beach Resort near the town of Paphos, Faldo Design has created an 18-hole layout at Elea Estates (6,900 yards) that commands a striking location above the Mediterranean Sea.   

The Aphrodite Hills Golf club is also nearby to Pissouri Bay.  This award-winning golf course was officially opened in 2002 and offers a mix of challenging pot bunkers, manicured fairways of lush Bermuda grass and generous tiered greens. Beginners and experienced players of all abilities are encouraged to learn and improve their game at the Aphrodite Hills 3-hole Golf Academy.

 

Located on a stunning expansive two kilometre Blue Flag beach surrounded by rugged cliffs and vineyards in the valley behind the COLUMBIA Beach Resort provides very stylish quality accommodation in a peaceful setting. 

Built in a distinctive style reminiscent of typical Cypriot buildings with shuttered windows, reclaimed terracotta tiles and features in mellow stone and wood, this hotel promises both style and substance.  The accommodation is in well-appointed suites in low rise villas, just 94 in total, that are clustered around the hotel’s dramatic 80m lagoon style pool.  Some suites have their own pools and all are mellowed by an abundance of citrus trees and bougainvillea.
